What next?

Over a year ago I had gotten my pap back as being CINI. I get my pap done every year and this is the first pap in 10 years I have gotten back as abnormal. A month later I had a repeat pap which said the same, a colposcopy and biopsies which came back with CINIII. I was sent off for surgical consults since my primary doesn't do this kinf of GYN care and I decided to go with a CO2 conization. After the cone the margins were clear. I had my follow up pap at 4 months instead of three due to holidays and schedual conflicts. This pap came back as CINI. I understand that if any of the paps are going to come back abnormal it is the first one, but it was after a longer period of time too. Since this pap, I've had abnormal bleeding with sex. I also did before I had the first abnormal pap over a year ago. Anyway, I had my next pap yesterday and was wondering, if this pap is also abnormal, what would be next? Would I have to have another colposcopy, then punch biopsies, and possibly another cone? What are the risks of me getting pregnant with these abnormal paps? How many cone biopsies can I have before I can't carry children or it damages my fertility and mucus glands? (I'm looking to get pregnant soon) I would like to know the game plan a little ahead of time so I can have done my research and make educated decisions...Thanks in advance!

RE: What next?

Has your doctor shown you each of the lab reports and had an in-depth discussion with you from the beginning until now about how extensive the dysplasa is? Has your doctor discussed all of your options, from the many different treatment choices to how this effects fertility and pregnancy, in addition to giving recommendations? Why did your doctor not do a colposcopy and biopsy when the PAP smear came back with CIN I? Consider getting a different doctor if you are not getting honest and in-depth information from your current doctor or if you are uncomfortable and have even the remotest doubts.Insofar as bleeding after the first PAP smear since your partial amputation is concerned, my first PAP smear was excruciatingly painful, and I was sore for two weeks, afterward. It unfortunatelely takes my body longer to heal, and four months, later, the area was still raw. You may have the same problem. You could also have an infection, or there could be something else wrong that your doctor should check. In any event, discuss it with your doctor. Or your new doctor.
