My dad has not yet been diagnosed and we are hoping for a 'benign' reading from biopsy. But, here is my question: I have read amazing things about Ethanol injections (something like a 70-90% five-year survival rate).  So, why do more doctors not use this therapy?  It seems pretty safe and easy. Does anyone know about the Ethanol treatment for liver cancer tumors? We are all so scared and I am looking for anything positive. Please answer if anyone has any info.  Thank you 12ellyellysmom Mon, 24 Mar 2008 00:00:00 GMT MD Anderson Cancer Center does ethanol ablation. However, their ablation technique preference is for radiofrequency ablation. You can learn more about both at their web site.
