Thanks to Sutent

My husband passed away on March 3rd of this year. He had been on continuous rounds of Sutent for the last 26 months. Thanks to Sutent he was able to be with us for more than two years after his Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma was diagnosed. Without the approval of Sutent and our ability to obtain it through his prescription drug insurance he would have been with us for only six months. He did reasonably well and was attending to his own personal needs right up until February 21st. That day I couln't wake him up and called 911. He was in the hospital until his passing on day twelve. We will miss him.

I am so sorry about your husbands passing. My husband is 59 and on Sutent as well for 8 months now. It is also giving us time--God Bless you and your family. I just can't imagine. I pray more research will bring about longer and complete cures for this disease. Joan
