Sutent

I am trying to decide if I should take Sutuent. I know it's a personal decision but I feel pretty good right now and the side effects look pretty scary. I would like to hear from people who are taking it or have taken it. This is my last resort.Fran in Canada

RE: Sutent

I am currently taking Sutent and have for about 9 months now. I am so happy I chose to take this medicine. the side effects are many but so worth it. I have had 3 ct scans since taking the sutent for a reoccurance of renal cancer and the first scan showed it was shrinking, the second scan showed it was stable and just yesrerday my 3rd scan showed the tumor has decreased some more. I am so thankful that this is prolonging my life because I'm 40 and have 2 teenage children that I would love to see get into/complete college. My doctor said expect the unexpected, as long as the medicine is working I will deal with the side effects. It does get better.I am still working full time and feel great most of the days.Good luck on your decision.
