We are wondering if someone out there would like to share feelings about our days, weeks and months, if possible year ahead managing pain, infections and the fun times. Our next step is to try Leukine. Anyone there with experience to share? I have nothing to offer that can cure but I can promise I will try to listen to you and maybe it can be of help that you know that there are someone out there that take interest in your fight. I am a 63 year old, and have been working as an inventor for the last 10 years. I am married and have 4 grandchildren. My wife and me have had some long discussions along the line that you are scetching. I got my diagnosis in april last and am now on Casodex 150 before taking radiation treatment in october.I am doing some traveling so I will read this messages, but do not always have the opportunity to reply at once. I had seven months of Casodex, then crysurgery.If need be I would like to go back on Casodex, my doctor wants to put me on Lupron and 50mg of Casodex if cancer reocurrs.I want monotherapy 150mg of Casodex if cancer reoccurs. Your comments. Bigrichb Mon, 15 May 2006 00:00:00 GMT Hi, I am very fine. I was a bit low at the last 14 days of the radiation, but ca 3 months later everything was fine. The sexlife is very good and the bowels and urine tract is in good working order. I travel, visit theaters and opera as before and do not know if I have more problems as other of my age. (63) I ended radiation in january and at the same time the Casodex treatment. The PSA count was then down to 1 after beeing 10 at the starting of the treatment. 1 month later is was 1,8 but I was told that was because this was a "after radiation response". It is expected to be down at 1 in the beginning of july when I shall have my first control. I have discussed long time treatment with Casodex with my doctor and the response was that nobody could tell if that would have any positive effect. There have been some in Norway that has used Casodex for 2 years without any apparent problems, but I have been told that nobody can say that it has had a positive effect of the survival rate. In short, I feel that the treatment has been at some times a bit tough, but that at present I feel fine and have no problems that I worry about. I hope that you will can have some positive information from my lenghtly reply. If you like I can inform you of the result of the 1/2 year test? That means it has been reduced from the last reading, 1,5, when the treatment was finished. I got the report from today and it shows the following: 1. I had a C of T3a Nx M0, Gleason score 6 with and inital PSA of 7,2. 2.I ended the Casodex, 150 mg, treatment when the radiation dose of 70 Gy was reached. I feel fine and have no trouble that can be related to the treatment. Everything is as should be for my age. (born in 1942) (which means active life in all respects) Finnk Wed, 31 May 2006 00:00:00 GMT Hi, I thought that I should include some more news.I have had a heart operation, I got a stent i one of the pulmatory arteries and one other was enlarged a bit. I felt fine after the operation, but have had some related problems therafter.I visited the hospital in last week of january and the PSA wast tested and found to be 0,8 as on my last test. I feel fine, live a full life, despite the betha blockere are taking its toll on ability but not of want.
