      <description>My husband has had only 2 chemotherapy treatments so far for his tonsil cancer. Now they are preparing for radiation. Can you have chemo and radiation therapy at the same time?</description>

      <description>Yes, in fact it&amp;#39;s best to have both at the same time, it&amp;#39;s more effective.&amp;nbsp; Sometimes they give chemo for a few weeks before startng chemo/radiation when they want to shrink the tumor first.My husband had treatments of cisplatin and carbo/taxol.&amp;nbsp; (The cisplatin made his ears ring).&amp;nbsp; - Amy</description>
