Issels Immunotherapy

Has anyone pursued or researched the Issels treatment? They have an inpatient center within the Oasis of Hope in Mexico as well as outpatient clinics in Arizona and California. I have read good things about them from Ralph Moss and from other books about alternative treatments.

Issels

Hello,
I did not hear about this product but I know that the doctors in such clinic were recommending the CarTCell as an angiogenesis inhibitor. This product is a liquid cartilage extract currently in clinical trials with the National Cancer Institute under the name Neovastat.
Best regards,
Stephane

Issels in Mexico

I know someone personally who went there and had treatment. It did not prevent recurrence but she was still glad she had the experience. So would you say it worked if she still got a recurrence a few months later?

I have testicular cancer and am interested in the Issels treatment as a compliment to conventional therapy. Does anyone have any information or experience with Issels?

Issels Treatment

I live in Egypt, and my mother has Mantle Cell Lymphoma, stage III/IV, Our health insurer is BUPA and they would not cover such therapy because "it is not considered clinically and medically proven treatments for cancer based on established medical practice." We are pursuing R-CHOP which is standard protocol, but want to explore other 'alternative treatments' if need be. Please advise.

Issels Clinic.

Hi Stepan,
I am planning to go to this clinic, but all the information I have are from the internet web sites. I noticed your message was posted long time ago and I think you might passed through this experience.
I had mixoid Sarcoma on the pelvis 2 years ago and now CT scan results showed a lightly spot in the same area that could be a recurence. The Sarcoma was grade 2, removed clear margins, I had 7 weeks of radiation therapy. I am rescheduled for another CT scan in 3 mounth, but I cannot wait and do nothing. The information via net are too large and strongly advertised.
There are just few messages related to Issels tratment. I would like to have more opinions from people who passed through this tratament.

Thank you and best regards,
Dorian

Issels Clinic

It's been some time now and I am still in remission. My oncologist is amazed at my numbers because chemo stopped working. Dr. Issels really does know what he is doing. If anybody is considering this treatment it is worth your life. I had my own doubts but numbers don't lie.

Issels Clinic in Santa Barbara

Bigthyme, Could you please give more specific info on your experience at the Issels Clinic.
We have breast cancer in the family and are looking for alternatives. How long were you there? What treatments did you receive? Were you able to interview and see the facilities before you paid? Did the doctors themselves look healthly? Did you stay in one of the apartments? Were they clean? Was the facility clean? Would you be willing to share who you are and what you do are would you be willing to chat by phone or personal email? Thanks for any and all info you are willing to share.
very grateful . . .

What about more specific and current info on Issels? The last date was in May of 07 and before then months earlier. We are in NV and able to travel to CA. I don't want to take my dad there at the latter part of his fight against colon cancer. I am itching to go sooner vs. later, but would love more objective views rather than rely on the web site's testimonials. Anyone?

James44,We did not end up going to Issles (either in Santa Barbara or the one in Mexico). My sister did research some more and it seems that the one in TJ is the one with more comprehensive treatments, more drugs involved, and of course a longer stay required. Not sure if either one is a good option. We are happy with our doc in Las Vegas for now and my dad seems to be battling with no major setbacks so we are staying put. If you do go or find out more info I'm sure there are many of us and others out there who would love to learn more.Best of luck to you.
