Normally MMMT are uterine carcinosarcomas, which is a rarity. My mother has extra-uterine MMMT, which basically means that it has nothing to do with her uterus but she had her hysterectomy done because the doctors first thought that the cancer was in the ovary. The ovaries were absolutely normal. Extra-uterine case is supposed to be even more rarer, which is so ironic. My mother was in remission for a short period between Aug 07 to Jan 08 and now the cancer is back. Infact she now has 3 different tumors in the same area, although there is no metastases, which is amazing. My mother is currently suffering with pain because of the size of the tumors and some fluid retention.
