He has seen a physician in Heidelberg, Germany and have been in contact with another phycician in Vienna,Austria both performing HIFU. All seemed well with HIFU until he had a TRUS done which revealed calcification within the Prostate. One Dr. advised against HIFU in his case, whereas the other schedule the procedure.Has anyone who has had HIFU performed dealt with calcification within the Prostate?, if so please advise the outcome!Totaly confused, concerned and bewilderedEV Find an Answer Wed, 02 Apr 2008 00:00:00 GMT I have not had any calcification within the prostate but when I was talking to the Sonablate people, they informed me that was one of the reasons why the Sonablate system can alter the intensity of the ultrasound to handle various situations with prostate tissue.
