RE: liposarcoma our 'alternative' regime, feel free to ask or comment

Wow!! Sounds like you are going all-out. Good for you, just don't wear your husband out...lol. I am a breast cancer survivor & have managed to avoid chemo & radiation by using Ave & AHCC (an immune booster, mushroom complex). Just a cautionary word.... remember, if you read the tests results for Ave, Ave did not work as well in clinical trials when combined with Vit c. This was totally contrary to what the researchers anticipated. My thought is this... Vit C works because it 'toughens' up the outer membrane of your cells. Cq10 enhances cell energy. I have dropped back my vit c usage to a 500 mg tablet in the early am with the rest of my vitamins and cut out the cq10 altogether for the time I am taking Ave. (I stopped Vit C altogether the first year I was diagnosed and starting taking Ave.) Since one of Ave's functions is to dissolve the coating that hides cancer cells from your nk killer cells, the Vit C, especially the iv c, would make the cancer cells tougher for your nk cells to attack/kill/penetrate. Your husband is young and if he doesn't smoke or have heart disease, his cq10 should be fine temporarily without supplementation. I worry he is not getting enough protein in his diet - too many carbs. There is nothing wrong with wild-caught fish, organic chicken & turkey. Read the Zone diet book by Barry Sears. Your body is free to take care of 'housekeeping' when it isn't fighting elevated blood sugar levels all the time. I panicked when first diagnosed and ordered every kookie thing out there.... you could spend zillions a month on things that anecdotally (sp) have worked for people. I finally realized that the bottom line.. the over-simplified conclusion is this... Cancer is a failure of the immune system. Then I went about finding ways to boost my immune system. Settled on Ave (in pm), Ahcc, noni, whole food multi with vit c in the am, high quality green tea instead of coffee, avoiding toxins & sugars as much as possible (using baking soda instead of toothpaste, for instance), and finally, Spring Forest Qigong for healing by Chunyi Lin from Learning Strategies Corp. Qigong is easy, easy, easy mild exercises & visualizations & sure makes you feel good. Remember, our bodies are fighting to get & stay well. We need to listen, give it the tools it needs & get out of it's way.Make sure you are getting fresh, cold Ave (it should stick to EVERYTHING!! and still not taste too great either..lol, holler at me if you want me to tell you where I get my Ave at.). Develop a battle plan and decide what your are gonna focus on. What are the doctors' action plan? You cannot do it all, all at one time. Be careful you don't upset your hubby's tummy with all the stuff you will be giving him. Always work with hubby's doctors and keep them apprised but don't be shocked when they don't go along with you or are indifferent. Good Luck to you & hang in there. My prayers & best wishes for you both.

PS.... Pooh.. forgot one thing I do every morning. I eat cottage cheese & organic flax seed oil with fruit for breakfast. Add that to my regime of things I do that might be helpful for your husband and certainly won't hurt or interfere with anything. :)

Hello phoenix23002 I personally take at least 10gr of Vitamin C every day on the recommendation of my medical/alternative doctor and also maintenance treatments every six weeks or so of 50gr Intravenous Vitamin C. I also used Avemar (Ave) for many months and will be going back on it soon. My understanding is that Vitamin C will not interfer at all with the Avemar as long as there is at least a two hour window between the two supplements. Here is a link to the Avemar website which is very informative.
