She has gone to get her esphageaus stretched and this is the 8th time,  Is this a sypmtom of radiation?  Scarring is what the doctor told me but she couldn't eat before all the treatment...I am getting no answers from the doctor..the doctor told me the other day she was cancer free.  I am assuming from the biopsys they took of spots they found in the last stretching..because the last ct scan they said the tumor has shrunk from the size of a kidney to the size of a large sausage is what they told us..Now she has had another ct scan last friday and I have been calling and he still hasn't returned my call.  I am so confused they havn't even told mom what is going on she doesn't understand..I was quite annoyed on monday when the doctor told me that because he contradicted himself...first he tells us he doesn't really no because the doctor who stretches her esphageaus can't get the scope down to see the tumor..(I.E. its closed off).  so how can he say its cancer free.?  so my question is why in the last ct scan does he says it shrunk but not alot to cancer free...?  I will keep informed because I have called all week and he still hasn't returned my phone call...Thanks for listening I needed to vent. Lilynewf  Lilynewf Fri, 04 Apr 2008 00:00:00 GMT I think I would consider another Dr. I have never waited over a few hours for one of my mother's Dr's to call. It sounds like a second opinion is needed anyway. I hope you get some answers soon.
