Metastisis to the madible?

I had a total thyroidectomy in 6/2007 due to papillary thyroid cancer. I am due for my one year scan in May of 2008. Two months ago I noticed a lump under my tongue, but on the mandible directly below my bottom teeth. I have seen a maxiofacial oral surgeon and he has avised me to have a ct and schedule a biopsy. I am trying to remain calm, and think positively, however I am nervous. I know that it is extremely rare...but everyone said not to worry about the lump on my thyroid too.
