cat scans and mri while taking sutent?

I'll be going to MD Anderson for my regular 3 month round of tests including bone scans, mri, and cat scan. all of these tests will be done while I am still taking the sutent pills. Has anyone heard if this is dangerous, to mix dye into the system while actively on sutent? I have a local doc that says it could damage my one remaining kidney yet the folks at md anderson didn't think it was a big deal. I never know who to believe anymore. thanks for your input. LauraHi, I don't know very much about your situation, but I found the following site on the net that may answer your question. It says there is a possibility that the dye could damage your remaining kidney and recommends an MRI instead. Hope this helps.http://www.ackc.org/
