Terminal cancer, any alternatives? No chemo, radiation,..can be done

My dad was diagnosed with stomach cancer on Nov 07, 95% of his stomach was removed. Cancer also went to the lymph nodes and he went through chemo for only 2 weeks because he couln't take it, he got like blisters in his mouth.. He had 28 radiations! lost alot of weight but now that he is gainning that weight back and feeling better, he was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer. Dr said that surgery or any other treatment is not an option. He said 4-6 months maybe a yr tops. This is a nightmare and I am looking for any other alternatives. Is any body familiar with anything? Desperate daughter!

Desperate daughter!Bebita, I'm also a desperate daughter. My dad was diagnosed in Nov with liver cancer and also lymphomia in several areas of his chest-down region. He was given a mild chemo to start with due to his weak heart, and when that didn't show any response, they started a stronger type of chemo (took 1 day interveniously, + 5 days of a pill form). They just told us today after approx 6 weeks of this treatment that it wasn't working either. His options are to do a liver biopsy (didn't do one before because of his bad health, didn't think he could handle it) to try and determine exactly what type of liver cancer he has. The liver cancer is getting worse, but the lymphomia in his lymphnodes looks unchanged from his last scan. His other option is to do nothing and set up Hospice. I don't know, but most everything I've read says that liver cancer is/can be the worst and no real treatment. My dad isn't in any pain yet, and seems to feel pretty good but his color is not good. I know the doctor probably wont indicate how much longer he thinks he might have with us. We are planning a family trip to Branson in mid June and my dad has been so excited to go, but it looks like he might not have that long or might not be up to the trip. I'm just thinkful he isn't in any pain now and hope it stays that way!

My dad was told he has stomach cancer that has gone to the liver back in January. So far he has had 3 chemo treatments 3 weeks apart. Today the ct scan results were that there has been a 50% decrease in the tumors. He had his third treatment today and the doctor thinks he may only need two more. After that they are going to scan again and check him. He has been doing really well. Not really any side effects. Besides the chemo he is taking goji juice, apricot seeds and the b17 tablets. I recently ordered the pau d'arco tea but have not received that yet. He is going to take that as well.

Desperate daughter!Hi i know u have written this a couple of months ago but i just though i could offer a suggestion. I am an 18 yr old girl in Australia currrently suffering from liver and pancreatic cancer. I am currrently on Sutent (a type of chemo) but my family and i looked into other options too. It has been used by most people has a last resort and has had a 90% success rate by terminally ill cancer patients of any cancers. Its in Australia called 'Canhelp' and its all natural. Its based on diet, exersice and doses of Vitamin B17. As u might know, sugar feeds cancer so im on a pretty strict diet with no sugar, no dairy, n stuff like that. i don't know how much that will help u but it seems to have helped alot of people but i hope it helps.

I take Bi-cab soda three times a day and I also take a load of Antioxidants like 5000mg of Vitamin Bio C a day I was also advise to eat four half slices of Pawpaw each week only now am I seeing good results God bless and take care

I didn't know this website was opened all the way to Australia, it reminded me od the Wiggles, my son wants to go there. But anyway, I have good news about my dad. He had this treatment called therasphere, they are tiny glass beads that are radioactive and they were implanted on his tumor , they are supposed to kill the cancerous cells. So we are very optimistic. I really wish you the best! You are so young your'll be fine.My prayers are with you!
