Temodor ringing in the ears ? Gbm4

Hi all,i havn't been on for a while, just an update-----when my gbm 4 was removed in sept 06 i had 30 days of radiation along with 30 days of temodor every day.since then ive had 5 days of temodor a month.i've now finished my 17th cycle and had 7 clear mris.i'm told that as long as my blood counts hold up they just want to pump as much of this stuff in as poss ! No real side effects, but some ringing in the ears ? Has anyone on the site been on temodor for a longer time ? And how have your results been ?all reading material on this drug seems to be old ! From tests etc 2002/03 are you one of these trial patients? Best to you all john.

The ear on the side that I had radiation 'Pops' in the morning like it would if I was on an airplane. It's kind of weird. I did have an infection in that ear at the end of my radiation. Pat

God you've done well! Where are you being treated. My mum's in England also and on 3rd round of Temodar next week - since she's been on it she's been a lot brighter and her movement's better on her left side (she has inoperable astrocytoma in her right parietal lobe). You must be pleased.I will ask her oncologist about any side effects such as ringing in the ear - it could be fluid build up. Do you feel dizzy?Clare
