Naturopathy

My dad went in for a Whipple Procedure last week. They found the PC to be Stage 4 that had matastasized to his liver, sewed him up without performing the procedure, and gave him 6-8 mos. The medical team encouraged us to consult with an oncologist regarding chemo but offered no hope for a cure, only a few extra months of life.My early research seems to indicate there is at least hope with natural remedies. The Cancer Treatment Centers apparently incorporate a nutritional regimen as a part of its care and has good results but has a wait of 3-4 mos. I've looked into the Gerson Institute in San Diego and am open to other referrals. My view is that these treatments can do no harm (unlike chemo) and just may help.I'm looking for success stories!

RE: Naturopathy

The Gerson has benefits , but can be a bit extreme. I would contact your local naturopathic physicians. http://www.naturopathic.org/findannd.php They will focus on keeping his immune system healthy and try to focus on foods that do not feed the cancer. To often people suffer from malnutrition and low white blood cell counts and difficulty digesting food and fats. With this cancer you have as much documented success with natural methods as chemo. God bless and also research the American Institute for Cancer research. This website gives clinical research showing how certain foods have killed cancer cells or stopped them from growing in clinical studies so it is worth a try. So far real food has shown to be better than supplements. In my mothers case the Chemo made her worse. http://www.aicr.org/site/PageServer?pagename=dc_foods_home
