CancerCompass message board discussion started by MaggieB on 4/12/2008 http://www.cancercompass.com/message-board/message/all,22979,0.htm Thu, 24 Jul 2008 00:00:00 GMT Thu, 24 Jul 2008 00:00:00 GMT http://backend.userland.com/rss RSS.NET: http://www.rssdotnet.com/ Hi all, I'm new to this site and from reading the various messages already posted, feel the members have formed quite a family atmosphere.  My sister was diagnosed with Esophageal cancer in Dec.  Since Oct. she has lost 110 pds.  She has a stint inserted in her tumor to allow liquid or pureed foods to enter her stomach.  Yesterday's Dr's appointment resulted in the decision to have a feeding tube inserted.  Does anyone have any support, advice or guidance on this subject.Appreciate the time taken to read and or respond to this thread.  MaggieB Sat, 12 Apr 2008 00:00:00 GMT I am so, so sorry your sister has this awful cancer. What stage is she ? Has she had any chemo or radiation ? The feeding tube hopefully will help her get some calories in her her body. I hope it is OK with you if I pray for you and your sister.
