Just a stricture-good news!

Well, since we chatted last week about my husband's inability to eat after completion of treatment of his stage III gastric cancer, he has seen his oncologist & gastroenterologist and underwent an EGD with dilatation. He did indeed have a postoperative anastomotic stricture, it was dilated and he has seen a great improvement of what he can eat. Certainly not back to eating anything, but greatly improved from what it was, and will hopefully be able to start gaining some weight. The really great thing is the EGD showed NO sign of cancer! Maybe we will both start believing he is truly in remission, and be able to get back to a normal life...if there is such a thing after this horrid disease. Blessings to all
