should I push further??

Hi. I have been having spotting that lasts until my period starts for the past 4 months.(it usually lasts about 2 weeks) It starts out as streaks and then gradually turns to actual spotting. I also am fairly crampy when this happens and I now have strange leg pain, that I am not sure has anything to do with any of this. I went to my gyno after the second month and before she even examined me she said it was nothing. After a very brief exam she said to call in 6 mos if it was still happening. I am 39, and I have 4 children. I have never had mid-cycle spotting before and said I am not going through menopause.(also my period started on day 47! this month) She ran no tests whatsoever. My question is, should I push for testing or should I wait? Is there something about my symptoms that signals everything is okay that she feels it is okay to wait? When I went to my regular pc about the leg pain she suggested I see a new gyno, which worried me even more! I did have a leg doppler(it was fine) and an x-ray(leg-pelvis) that I do not have the results of.Can anyone shed any light on any of this. I do not want to push for second opinions if what I am experiencing is nothing.

Hi,I would get a second opinion. If it's nothing, you can then stop worrying about it. If it is something, it's better to take care of it sooner, rather than later.

He ordered an u/s and blood work. The u/s showed a slight thickening but still within normal range. The blood work was fine. I am now waiting on the results of a biopsy, which I should have tomorrow. He doesn't feel it is anything to worry about, but at least he is covering all the bases so I will feel assured! Keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow! :)
