temodar wanted

I am a sixty year old woman with brain mets. I am anxious to start a combination of CPT11 and temodar, but I am having trouble getting the temodar authorized by my insurance co. and I feel like I am running out of time. If anyone knows how I can procure some temodar quickly, I would deeply, deeply appreciate your help.

RE: temodar wanted

So sorry you are having problems getting your temodar. have you tried gong through the manufacturer? Scherings has a Commitment to Care program to help patients get their chemo. the number to call is: Call toll free 1·800·521·7157My husband was told by his insurance company that he wasn't covered by his prescription drug program, and that he had to pay upfront. Yeah right!! We tried the "Commitment to Care" program and they said he was covered 100% by the insurance company.????? I was livid and so was the neuro-oncologist.I was finally able to get pharmacore(his speciality pharmacey on his ins. plan) and the insurance company along with me on a conference call . they decided that they could give my husband his chemo under his major med portion of his policy.Granted he started his tremodar a week late....but it is better than nothingI have learned that I have to fight for what I want.....and to not take NO for an answer.hope this helps, regards, Eve
