Thyroid Cancer

I had thyroid cancer (papillary with Tall Cell) and my thyroid removed 16 months ago. I am getting ready for the thyrogen injections, RA treatment and scans (for the third time). I'm starting the low iodine diet tomorrow while waiting for my doctor to write my insurance company who had denied the thyrogen. Your posts really help give me support--and although I am not happy that any of you have this disease, it's comforting to know I am not alone and someone understands. Any advice will be welcome. Thanks.

The LID was the hardest thing for me. thyca.org has a super cookbook for the LID. I had a Thyrogen scan years ago and it was a heck of a lot easier than being hypo, for sure. Good luck! I get my WBS tomorrow, so I'm hoping for the best, too!

(I hate to sound dumb--I am only 2 days into this site, but what is WBS?). I wish I had found this site when I had my surgery last year.
