He will begin chemotherapy and radiation soon. My father has lung cancer and I have been researching natural therapies and have him using several supplements that I believe are helping him along. But brain tumors pose a problem due to the blood brain barrier. I wanted to know if anyone is using anything in particular that you believe is helping? Thank you Have you read "Surviving Terminal Cancer", by Ben Williams?  There is alot of great information about alternative treatments that he used and he's alive 15 years later (he had a glioblastoma).  You can reach him personally through: http://www.virtualtrials.com/surviveben.cfm he's very generous with his time.  You can get his book from Amazon.com or your local library (which is where I got mine).  I just started the supplements last week but I think the ones I chose are the most likely to work based on my research.  Most of the ones I chose are either used in other countries as standard treatments or have been included in clinical studies here in the states.  You can find them all on the net. The 5 that I chose are: KRESTIN (PSK) (CORIOLUS VERSICOLOR)  - It's used in Japan as standard cancer treatment and is covered under their national health plan.  There's only one place that I know of in the States that makes it.GLA (GAMMA LINOLENIC ACID)CLA (CONJUGATED LINOLEIC ACID)GENISTEINRESVERETROL If you want any more info on these let me know, but do check out the book if you have time, it's a good read.  He's a professor of psychology, so it's not like he's some quack job nut case :) Robin KIMBERLEIGH Wed, 16 Apr 2008 00:00:00 GMT
