My 64 year old dad who suffers from asthma, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, congestive heart failure, and stage iii b advanced hodgkin's lymphoma has made a decision to discontinue treatment (chemo). He has also opted not to have radiation due to the many masses throughout his chest and abdomen. He was first diagnosed in oct. 2006 and was in remission for about 7 months when it relapsed this past january 2008. He has had a rough time whenever he has had chemo. He has been in and out of the hospital with infection after infection ad bottles/i.v.'s of antibiotics. Due to his heart problems he is not a candidate for bone marrow transplant ot traditional chemo. What now? What happens next? Does anyone know what course the lymphoma will take? I know it is terminal when left untreated but i need to know what my dad might go through. I am so scared for him. Thanks!
