Questions about the leep

I got a leep done back in january 08 and am still having cramping(pain during sex) and a little bleeding also is this normal?? I also am having some discharge that I am a little concerned about? This has been going on for a while but other than that I feel fine. my doctor said I don;t need to come back 4 six months so I havent had a check up since the procedure.I wont be due for my check up till july I think I should have been in there alot sooner right??Also I have another question I am currently on birthcontrol pills and want to know if that might make things worse?? I want to see if maybe there is a better method of birthcontrol for women who are diagnosed with hpv??Hopefully someone can help me!! I would love to here back from someone who is in my position Im only 23 and want to live as long as I can!!(Thanks for listening)

RE: Questions about the leep

You shouldn't still have cramping, bleeding, or discharge. If you are, you're definitely having complications. Please have it checked by your doctor, or by a different doctor if you are not comfortable with the current one. I had problems, too, for three months. Pain sitting down, nonstop discharge, etc. It was very disheartening, and it didn't help when I learned other women have had the same problems. But I had chronic cervicitis, and so LEEP was wrong for me. When I got ahold of a manual instructing doctors on LEEP, it said to not do LEEP until the cervicitis had been addressed.I'm surprised your doctor told you to not come back for six months. Mine had me come back after a month to make sure I was healing properly. (A corner of the scab pulled loose, which more than likely accounts for some of my complications.) He then told me to come back three months after that as a follow up. Please fire your doctor and get one who takes your health more seriously.
