Recurrence studies

Hello,Does anyone know of any research or reports on the recurrence of bladder cancer? My husband was diagnosed with an aggressive & invasive bladder cancer last July; came through chemotherapy and a radical prostatecystectomy with outstanding results; all pathological tissue samples were negative. As rare as that is, I want to learn more about what the future might hold.Any personal stories are welcome.thanks,Elizabeth

RE: Recurrence studies

Hi Elizabeth,My Husband,David had a kidney removed last december..we were told all the cancer was removed, however then they found some "abnormal cells" in his bladder, he underwent 6 treatments of immuno therapy..he goes in for another biopsy next week and a CAT scan after that.(biopsy taken in March was clean.) So we await the next results, so I too am interested in re-occurance. We will see oncologist after scan to plan for possible"preventative chemo" I wish you and your husband all the good luck...Sandy
