To other patients sufferring also from Glioblastom 4 Grade

My name is Elisa R. My husband was operated in Feb. 20/08 from Glioblastom 4 Grade. He recovered fast and well from the operation.Sinde April 2nd. he is having radiations daily. He is also very tired and sleepy after the radiations. The doctors say it is very normal. From March 25 to 28 he got Chemotheray with the medicament:ACNU : CytarabinEventhough not so many patients have received this medicament until now, the Dr. Proffessor in Bamberg , who advices it for his treatment is very sure that this medicament is much better than Temodal, which is being used all the time for patients with the same tumor.I am sometimes very worried because until now I have never heard from somebodyelse who had used this medicament.Could anybody tell me if you have ever heard from this ACNU which is suministrated combined with ARA-C ? I would appreciate any comment about it.Thanks a lot in advance.Elisa R

RE: To other patients sufferring also from Glioblastom 4 Grade

temozolmide and radiation (30 daily treatment) have now become the standard treatment for high grade brain tumorsYou must fight for the treatment you want. Your doctor can recommend a treatment but the final decision is upto you.
