Dear members I have a question about the folowing news..

Dear Forum members: I came across news fro the National Cancer Institute where it has been revealed in some studies that a seaweed extract called carrageenan can prevent HPV? This extract comes from a red algae, that seems to inhibits HPV from attaching to human cells.John Schiller is one of the leading scientists involved in this study? Do any of you have news about this? may you please share your comments and opininions? I greatly appreciate it...thanks a million..morix

Morix, if you can find a link on the internet or an actual news site, I'd be ecstatic! With other people's research, as well as my own, we have found there are two companies, Roche and Nventa, that are in clinical trials with therpeutic vaccines, which are proving good at clearing up HPV-16. Nventa is going to start Phase 2 clinical testing on other HPV strains, later this year. There are also two other companies in the middle of researching therepeutic medication. If you want, I can post links to what we have found. But to have a seaweed with therpeutic properties makes me even happier.Right now, I feel disgust toward modern gynecology. It took a big step forward when the PAP smear was developed for catching cellular changes on the cervix. But gynecology is failing women in that it is currently a stagnant branch of medicine. It still has only invasive and barbaric treatment to offer as a quick fix, but it doesn't offer us any protection for our future health. But the research being done gets me very excited! Please let me know what you find!

That is excting news but can you find any info on using the seaweed extract to treat those of us that are already infected with HPV? As you already know I am doing everything in my power to fight this without having surgery....
