wife passed away

From JW. I want to thank everyone who responded to my post about three weeks ago. My wife Rose passed away on Sunday the 20th. On Friday we had a Celebration Of Life attended by her family and friends. Tonight is the first night that I am home alone with our dog. So far it is OK.I am really doing this post because her cause of death was "disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC)." You all should do a little Google research on this. She had three things going against her regarding DIC. She had lung cancer, she had received two units of whole blood, and she was receiving chemo treatments. I am not blaming anyone including the doctors. However, if I had been aware of DIC I would have been looking for any signs. If you don't catch it very early, it can't be controlled. She died from uncontrolled internal bleeding. Fortunately, she didn't suffer long. She was sitting up with granddaughters at noon, even though she was in pain. By 5pm she was gone. She is missed by a lot of family and friends.JW

I am sorry to hear of your wife's passing. It sounds like she was able to spend the last day as I know my wife would like to spend hers - with her pride and joys - her grandchildren. My you always find joy in her memory and continue to create new memories of your own with your family and friends.

Jeff,I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Rose. I am happy to know you both have a lifetime of treasured memories to get you through this painful period. You will see her again someday. In the meantime, enjoy your family, some time by yourself not having to fight the cancer battle, and the love of a good dog. Travel again when you can, it will be therapeutic. Bless you for all you did for Rose. I know she appreciated your efforts greatly. Now it's time to take care of yourself, you can do it.Our thoughts and prayers are with you every day.Scott

May god rest your wife's soul in peace. I lost my father in September last year to lung cancer. The pain and agony remains on having lost him and being powerless. God bless
