I have other symptoms such as itching all over my body which began 17months ago, following the birth of my daughter (my only child). More recently I have felt very tired to the extent of sleeping on and off for most of the day. I have had a few hot flushes at night but not very often. I have seen my Gp who organised blood tests and a chest x-ray, the bloods were all normal and im still waiting for the xray results.Any Ideas?  lozzie493 Wed, 30 Apr 2008 00:00:00 GMT what about fevers, weigt loss, a full feeling and loss of appetite?  Most swollen nodes are NOT cancer, but the only way to be sure is to biopsy the lymph node.  So, your doc may have you try an antibiotic for a few weeks, but if it doesnt go away then I would press for a biopsy.  Oncrx Wed, 30 Apr 2008 00:00:00 GMT I found a lump by my collar bone and my doctor quickly set me up for a chest x-ray and a CT scan of my upper torso.  The x-ray was clear but the CT scan showed the possibility of cancer at the base of my tongue. An ear nose and throat (ENT) doctor took a biopsy which came back negative BUT he didn't believe that and took a needle biopsy of my swollen lymph node and it came back positive.  He called for a recheck on the first biopsy and it came back positive this time. My doctors took an aggressive approach and after only two chemos, my lump disappeared and a recheck of my throat showed no cancer. Next month I go for my one year follow up full body CT.  Push for answers, get aggressive, you need peace of mind. Jazzy Mon, 26 May 2008 00:00:00 GMT
