My mom's doctor wants her to take 20 treatments of Torisel before checking to see if it is even helping. Is this normal? He's not very informative and she doesn't ask any questions. Just agrees with whatever her doctors want to do?

RE: Torisel

Most cancer treatments take a certain amount of treatments before the Drs know if they working. Usually they check with a MRI and or CT/Pet scan after 3 or 4 months. If your Mom is not questioning the Dr maybe you can have someone go with her to see him and ask questions. Go to the Torisel website they will answer alot of your questions .Torisel has very serious side efeects your Mom needs to know everything she can.
