Hi, who has an experience with Tomotherapy?

My mother has stage IV breast cancer. Doc given up on us. But my mother does not want to die at all. The metastatic lung tumours is making breathing difficult. She wants to fight, she does not wish to leave her teen daughter all alone in this world (I am the only child and have no other family members.) Thank you for the answer. God bless

God blessHi Yanna,Sorry to hear about your Mom. Best advice I can give is to get another doctor as quickly as possible. There are many treatment options out there and if your Mom has a breath left in her body, there is still hope. Ask your doctor about tarceva. Ask them to do the EGFR blood test to see if it is positive. If it is, tarceva should help her. Don't wait any longer. Find a new doctor now. Let us know how you make out.

The treatment combined with chemotherapy for a seven week series, five treatments per week. Final procedure was a cleanout neck dissection, which revealed only scar tissue remaining.Don't know specifics of application for breast cancer.Contact at UVA is DR. Paul Read, 434-924-5191, pwr3u@virginia.edu
