Sutent - help with dizziness

Does anyone have any suggestions for dealing with dizziness from Sutent? Dizziness appears to be a common side effect since the label on the prescription bottle says "may cause dizziness." My husband is 4 days into his second cycle of Sutent and is having severe dizziness to the point that he has to sit down every time he stands up; he's not experiencing any other side effects and tolerated the first cycle well. I was hoping someone might have a suggestion to help eliminate or lessen the dizziness - any suggestions for prescriptive meds, over-the-counter meds, or alternative treatments would be greatly appreciated.

Call the doctor. She is he can prescribe a anti-dizziness medicine. Antivert is one drug they use for dizzy spells but it must come from the doctor. Best of luck

Call your doctor immediately. It may simply be dizziness. Buit it can also be high blood pressure which is also a potential side from Sutent. Also easily treatable but needs attention. Best of luck. tagml

I'm just completing my 4th cycle of sutent. I started to get high blood pressure during my 3rd cycle and I got a dizy feeling anytime my blood pressure was a little high. I was also getting bad side effects that made me accept reducing my dose from the 50mg max to 37.5mg daily. I have not had high blood pressure at all during this 4th cycle.I recommend that you start measuring blood pressure and work with your doctor to check / treat any high blood pressure problems.Keith
