Hard red spot roof mouth - surgery

I am scheduled for a biopsy next week on two, small, hard, red spots on the roof of my mouth. No pain. The oral surgeon said it could be a mixed adenoma -of the salivary glands, or another type of benign lesion. I am worried sick. Has anyone had something similar? What is the surery process? I appreciate any feedback.

Hi my name is Richard I had a spot on the roof of my mouth a little over a year ago. I had it checked and it was cancer. I had to have part of the roof of my mouth and jaw bone removed. It was hell on earth during recovery but you know what? I conquered it. I do have to wear a small prosthesis, which cost a fortune and I am trying to save the money to buy the final one. but i am living a normal life. the only thing is without the prosthesis i can blow water out of my nose and kids think that its kinda cool. But with God's help and the support of my family I got through what I believe is the worst hell I have ever been through. Remember time will heal all wounds. God bless

Hi Richard, Read your post and was wondering what kind of spot you had and how big it was. The resulting surgery sounds quite involved and all you had for a clue was that spot?I have had some white areas in my mouth for a little while now and just noticed 3 red spots. (one on roof of mouth and one on each side on gums.). size of a paper hole punch and smaller.. but pretty symetrical. Going to call the Doctor tomorrow. Have put it off since I have had ongoing other symptoms throughout the past year that have not resulted in any kind of diagnosis. I'm torn between hoping this is somethign that can finally lead me to some answers and hoping of course it is not.. especially after hearing what you have gone through.Glad to hear you are doing well now.. if you could give me any info about what you first experienced I would appreciate it.Thanks.
what i had was an ulcer like sore on my gum line in the roof of my mouth it was sore. But the only way I can be is blunt honey don't put going to the dr. off. If it is a problem they can fix it. If its not its worth the piece of mind. Remember if it is a problem its not going away by itself. Good luck.Richard
