LEEP done 5 days ago..

I had my LEEP on Monday and I am having horrible pelvic pain. It feels like I am burning inside..along with cramping and lower back pain. I don't even know how to explain it. Its worse today than the other days.I'm not bleeding and haven't even though the doctor said I would.I can't even get out of bed for longer than 5 minutes. Is this normal? I do not know anyone who has had this done... I am so frustrated from being in constant pain. I am taking medication and it isn't helping. Please help!!! I am very emotional and feel like I am going nuts!!

To tell you the truth, I don't know what's normal. However, I was told cramping and spotting and discharge was normal. Anything else such as pain that is worse than cramping and bleeding like a period or fever is reason to call my doctor immediately. I would definitely call you doctor. I hope that you are better soon.

You should not be in this much pain. I had a LEEP procedure and only had minor cramping. I would go back to your doctor and make sure that you didn't get injuured in the process.

You are definitely having complications from the LEEP. Please call your doctor, immediately. Or if the pain is severe, go to ER and have it addressed there,as soon as possible. Discomfortingly, LEEP does have the highest risk of infection. However, regardless of whether or not this is an infection, this should definitely not be happening. I also had bad complications from LEEP. I'm sorry this is happening to you.

Monday made a week and I am feeling better as far as the burning/cramping. I still have some soreness and lower back pain. Also some random nausea. I am worried about infection. What are the symptoms of infection?I have some discharge that doesn't smell too great but I've read others had that too(I know thats gross, sorry!). I tried to call my doc Monday and he was out (ugh).

I'm sorry I have not resonded; I was out of town. What you're describing are the symptoms of infection. Did your doctor finally get back to you? If not, or if you didn't get the kind of care and answers you needed, please don't hesitate to fire that doctor. You deserve only the very best healthcare.I hope the infection finally cleared up and that you are better, now.
