It is called Hope Lodge and there are 26 of them around the country. They provide free temporary lodging for patients undergoing treatment who have to travel from out-of-town or out-of-state for their treatment. In some cases there is also free transportation to and from local hospitals. They are non-medical facilities and the patient must have a caregiver stay with them. The Minneapolis facility was absolutely beautiful. It just opened in January and is not full right now but I understand that some of the other facilities have waiting lists. I thought this info might help some of you who have to travel a distance for treatment. Google "Hope Lodge American Cancer Society" for more info and locations.
