My first thought was Asbestos when you mentioned HVAC.Old Industrial Building and Apartment Complexs still have wrapped pipes with this material. To pin point the cause of your cancer, it could be almost anything. (Ask for an EBV titer count next time you have a blood test.)If you have EBV, and one of those chemicals temporally lowered your immunity, then it's quite possible there's a link.  Mojox Sun, 21 Sep 2008 00:00:00 GMT Despite the biocides for algae and slime control, you may still have been exposed to a lot of air borne mold/fungal spores.  They can  play havoc on the immune system.With the kind of toxic mix you have mentioned, could be a single factor or any combination of things at least pre-disposing you to, if not causing this dread disease.
