'mass' on Chest Wall

Just the other day my dr examined a 'lump' I'd found near my sternum. She immediately ordered 5 x-rays which I had done after leaving her office. Tomorrow I have a Mamogram and blood work. I've had odd 'symptoms' for months and months. Pain here and there and in most of my joints. I shrug them off because I have arthritis in my spine and relate them to the weather. lol. But too I have had peridoic pain under both sides of my ribs, near the galbladder/spleen areas. Heck, everyone has pain, right?
One question, the order ststed 'Mass' on chest Wall.
WHAT is a "Mass" anyway?
If this is cancerous, what types of cancer can be found on the chest wall?
It is near my sternum.
Thanks for your input.
Any appreciated.

'mass' on Chest Wall

A mass (on an xray or CT scan) is just something that shouldn't be there. It might be benign, it might be cancer, etiher a primary of a spread from another cancer in another part of the body.

Would you mind sharing with me your diagnosis on this mass? I am having the same symptoms as you, with a mass above my right breast area, but near the sternum as well as paid under my ribs. I see the Dr. tomorrow.

Chest Wall

Hi,
I so hope this is one of the ones than can be removed without too much being lost.
Fight with all you have. Go to the nurititonal site and get them to work with both nuritition and medical -intergrate all of it and PRAY.
You have to build up your immune system and feed your cells without feeding the cancer cells-not an easy thing but the Cancer treatments centers know how to do this.
Best of what there is and I'll be hoping for a mild diagnosis.

I am a 40-year-old man who has developed lumps on ribs and a mass on right chest. How are you doing? Thanks Nick
