Low Iron, Adrenal Fatigue and EBV (Mono)

I am almost 2 years from my thyroidectomy and a year and a half from the radiation treatment. Continue to struggle with fatigue. In the last 9 months have struggled with low iron levels and my body not absorbing the iron. I am now on a prescription level of iron. My physician has run all levels of tests and is saying that my adrenal system is about to burnout and that my immune system is down. Today I have learned that I tested positive for EBV (mono). My physician is waiting on results from a complete vitamin panel to determine the supplements to add to my daily routine. She also encouraged reducing the stress in my life and sleep. I'm not sure what to do because it has taken me so long to recover from my thyroidectomy. I really thought I would be past this by now. Any one else out there been diagnosed with any of these things following surgery? My parathyroids finally started working again so at least my calcium levels are now fine. I welcome any suggestions related to supplements, nutrition, etc. I currently take synthroid and cytomel and my t3, t4 and tsh levels are good.

I am also taking iron for low levels and found out matter of factly that the iron has to be taken 4 hours apart from you thyroid medication or it can cancel the effects of your thyroid medication. Also found out that calcium shouldn't be taken with acid type medications such as Nexium. You may want to check into the timing of your medications. Of course, mono is a virus and has to run its course. Just what you needed with everything else going on. I still don't know what is driving my iron levels down.
