Low Sodium

My husband has finished his second go-around of chemo,(one month ago) had a PET Scan and cancer does not appear to be spreading. However, he is experiencing extreme exhaustion and leg/hip pain, minor stomach upset. He's going to try to have some blood work today. The last time he experienced this, his sodium levels dropped dangerously low and he was hospitalized for 3 days. His symptoms are similar except the last time this happened he had severe stomach pain. Has anyone experienced low sodium?

RE: Low Sodium

Hi my Dad had low sodium. That is actually how we found out about his Kidney cancer with mets to the lung. He was acting so confused we took him to the ER and they said his sodium was very low. They put him in ICU for 5 day and ran tests. That is when we found out about the cancer. Even now with the chemo meds he takes thay watch the sodium with him. It was getting a little low again. they will check him next week and see what to do from there. Hope all goes well with you and your husband.
