Tarceva

My mother has been diagnosed with lung cancer, primarily in her right lung, and it has spread to her bones. She started on Tarceva June 11, 2008. She has a tumor in her breathing passage and this is keeping her from getting enough oxygen. He percentages go as low as 68%. She is being released within the next week and will be at home. She has been in a skilled nursing facility and has made no further progress. She is under Medicare Part A and has secondary insurance, which will not pay for 24 hour care. Can anyone out there tell me if they have experienced something similiar and how long it took until they could get the oxygen level up to around 90%? Her Dr said if the Tarceva doesn't work she will have a few months to live. Kirsten
