      <description>A week to ten days.&amp;nbsp; The derm I work for prescribes:&amp;nbsp; peroxide to use for cleansing (just a dab), neosporin or polysporin (topical over the counter antibiotic ointment) and cover with a bandaid until healed.&amp;nbsp;</description>

      <description>Again the dermatologist I work for prefers that the lesions be covered until they have healed over.&amp;nbsp; By being covered it remains moist.&amp;nbsp; Neosporin or Polysporin are antibiotic topicals which prevents infection.&amp;nbsp;</description>
