Help? Chest Pain? Is it normal?

My husband started his radiation and chemo treatments last Tuesday. He has Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Level IIIA. His tumor is 6.9 cm X 3.9 cm and is in his right upper lobe with lymph node attachment. My question is:He started radiation on that Tuesday now for a total of four rad treatments. Is it normal to have chest pain other then in the right lung? He didn't even have pain in that lung until yesterday. Now he is saying he has pain in both lungs and his chest cavity. No real severe but it is there. Is this an effect from radiation? Please help me with this, I am very concerned.

Hi,Sorry that he is having pain. I would call the doctor or the radiologist who is treating him. While I was in treatment they gave me a number to call during off hours. I received some information from another patient that helped me. I had chemotherapy and radiation in the mediastinum (middle chest) and my voice sounded like Minnie Mouse. She told me that her Dad drank aloe vera juice and it helped ALOT. I bought a gallon and I mixed it with tea and honey. Everyone has different symptoms but they have a lot of medicine to counteract some of the discomfort of the chemo and radiation now. Please be sure to let them know how he feels... tired, nauseous, weak, pain etc. My thoughts and prayers are with you.Joan
