I haven't, but I know its another one of those "possible" side effects if you're low. Of course I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference since I'm menopausal! :)Hopefully you have a fan in your bedroom. Feel better......

I'm getting night sweats even though the blood work says I'm where I need to be. I used to get them every night before the cancer diagnoses and after the TT they went away, but now I'm getting them again...

I wish I could tell why but my guess is as good as yours ;-)

Good Luck, Rocio

I was thrown into fast track menopause with chemo, after a long, slow, easy menopause. All of a sudden, sweats. Yuck. Dr prescribed 3.75 ml of Effexor, and I was lucky-it worked. Try that. Good luck.

I have had a real problem with "hot flushes" after having a hormone replacement injection and radiation therapy following a radical prostatectomy. I asked one of the nurses at the clinic what they recommend and she said I could try drinking soy milk. So I'm going to give it a try! Cheap and non-pharmacalogical!

I have been on thyroid meds at least 20 years with occasional night sweats. In the last five years they have been increasing and I was dx with T-cell LGL Leukemia Nov. 2007. Now they say I am Menapausal. Night sweats occur with all three. The thyroid regulates hormone and we have been lowering my thyroid meds lately. The more I regulate all three the fewer sweats I have. I also have a friend, recently dx with both low thyroid and pre menapause, she has had trouble with body temps. It should get better once your meds are regulated and hormone levels get back to normal. Supposedly, there is a difference between synthetic and organic thyroid meds, if it continues, I would try a switch. It is amazing the all the things the are affected by the thyroid. Hope it gets easier for you.TJ

On 7/2/2008 Sterling wrote:Has anyone experienced night sweats while adjusting to thyroid medication?Hi,I had a TT 2 yrs ago in November. And now still experience side effects from suppressive therapy with the thyroid meds. Night sweats, intolerance to heat, itching, wieght gain, depression (which is under control with meds), achey joints, dry mouth, and over all not feeling myself anymore. Seems like I pick up any viruses and things out there. Weird stuff it seems, but one thing can cause another. . But what are you going to do? Just have to deal with it all, and be happy I am alive I guess. But no one warned me of all these things, and I think they should let you know what you are in store for.
