BabyGirl11 Wed, 02 Jul 2008 00:00:00 GMT My boyfriend also suffered from hand/foot/mouth - called thrush.  His doctor put him on Nystatin - its a mouthwash that he swallowed.  It was last year when he was treated for it, but I believed it lasted about 3-4 weeks. If you need any more info, just ask.Cathy Cathy31 Sun, 06 Jul 2008 00:00:00 GMT  My husband has been seeing an ear/nose/throat specialist as well as the oncologist.  They've been concerned about mouth sores for past month and did a throat culture for SJS - Stevens-Johnson syndrome which thankfully came back negative. Take care of any mouth issues as soon as they arise!  My husband has also been on Nystatin as well as Chlorhexedin (sp?) rinse.  As of yesterday they've advise he can stop Nystatin but continue with the rinse. tgthr27 Fri, 18 Jul 2008 00:00:00 GMT
