CancerCompass message board discussion started by swtjean on 7/4/2008 http://www.cancercompass.com/message-board/message/all,25720,0.htm Sun, 23 Nov 2008 00:00:00 GMT Sun, 23 Nov 2008 00:00:00 GMT http://backend.userland.com/rss RSS.NET: http://www.rssdotnet.com/ Hi there, Im new here.  I just found out I have a pseudotumor/real mass.  I  find out in a few weeks.  abd ultrasound found it but I need a 3 phase CT to tell me if it is a true mass.  Either way Im really scared.  Will keep you posted.  I just need an outlet, I don't want to worry my family w/my worries any more than they already are.  You guys understand I'm sure. swtjean Fri, 04 Jul 2008 00:00:00 GMT It is really hard to wait, and so long!  I would urge you to get a copy of your ultrasound report, which may tell you the size of the mass, etc.  I have a mass on one kidney that is being watched becuase it is too small to tell if it is a cyst or a solid tumor.  Mine has not changed in three years, so it is more likely benign.You might also be helped by joining KIDNEY-ONC, an email support group for kidney cancer patients, and which has members in your situation.  Trishpm Sat, 05 Jul 2008 00:00:00 GMT Thank you for your reply.  I did get a copy of the report.  It reads "A possible mass is seen within the mid pole of the left kidney measuring 3.6x3.7x4.0cm. There is no kidney stone or hydronephrosis.  Left renal mass may represent a pseudotumor due to prominent column of Bertin versus a true renal mass.  Recommend a three phase renal CT to exclude a true mass."So now I wait...Thanks for your support and understanding.~SwtJean~ swtjean Sat, 05 Jul 2008 00:00:00 GMT
