My husband also has non hodgkins-brain and eye. He hasn't had the "acid taste" usually associated with reflux, he burps and belches at least 50 or more times daily. What other meds is he taking? So many meds can cause this. Is he taking something like nexium or protonix for the acid reflux? If not, talk to the doctor about prescribing something to help. My husband does not have an appetite and he is taking marinol which helps a great deal. He was dropping weight every week and now is only losing ounces at a time. Non-hodgkins is highly treatable. My husband has had a clear brain MRI one year now!!! Hang in there, don't give up and stay strong. This is a diffcult road but it can be travelled....................

I just a better eye on what I'm preparing now, sometimes i'll eat bread to settle my stomach and even saltines seems to help. Just be careful with the spices. I find myself cooking with less and less seasonings including salt and pepper. fried onions are better then raw same with green peppers, but I still shy away from them because they still seem to be pretty potent cooked.Hope this helps!!!!
