Sun spots and chemo question

Hello everyone i hope you all are going strong,my husband has been on chemo now for 3 weeks. He is getting used to being hooked up with the chemo bottle, thats connected to his portacath. He had a lot of nausea last week, but for the last 5 days he has been feeling a lot better,is in good spirits, and eating better as well,SO good to see.Would anyone know if chemotherapy has had an effect on sun spots they have.My husband has quite a lot of sun spots on his skin, and for the last 2 weeks they have looked red,He has not been in the sun a lot, so i dont think thats the reason. They are not sore either he said.Best wishes to everyone from joy.

Before I was diagnosed I had a lot of sun damage on my face, mostly my forehead. While taking Xeloda I had severe hand/foot syndrome. In addition to losing all the skin on my hands and feet, the sun damage on my face also peeled off. It was like getting a laser treatment. First the sun spots turned darker, then peeled off and diappeared. Tom

Hello Tom,thanks for responding to my question.Sounds like you had a rough time of it,I hope things are going well for you now.My hubby has not had any skin peeling yet,,but the sun spots look really red and angry..This tuesday he has another round of the 6 hours chemo..He wears a bottle around all the time, and every week for 3 weeks the nurses attach.a new bottle, and then the 4th week its the 6 hour treatment. He has only been having chemo for 1 month.Best wishes from joy.
