He is now experiencing grainy tissue w/appears to be coming from the inside of his throat and mouth. Has anyone ever experienced this before? He is 10 weeks post-treatment and completely miserable and unable to eat. He refuses the peg tube placement. He is also coughing up what seems to be pieces of tissue from his throat. I was always told to be very careful and to tell them if my mouth/throat was sore.  Also I had some special mouthwash and used baking powder and water. I would appreciate any help. Hello, A visit to the DR is in order, This may be thrush this is commen after chemo/rads . Did your wound in your throat take a lot of time to heal? My Dad pretty much has a crater that is unhealed. We just went to the ENT and he said there is an unhealed crater the is not healing well. Did you experience the same situation? Do you have any tips?
