Itching With Rash From Tarceva

I have been on Tarceva for about a month and of course the ugly rash is in full bloom. I do take an antibiodic for it but have anyone experienced unbearable itching with it? The itching stated about a week ago and is most uncomfortable. Any suggestions?

Thanks, John B.

Itching Rash Tarceva

I was on line reading and someone said they take Bendryl for their rash. My mother has been on traceva since July and she hasn't had a rash wich is a blessing, but her skin is very dry...

Tarceva and Itching

I hadn't realized that the itching was just the Tarceva. I've had the 'itch' way before I started Tarceva and it drives me nuts. It started right after I had my first Chemo treatment. My skin is soo dry that it resembles an elephants skin.

Several people had done the Bendyril and it worked for them. I haven't done that yet, but might start soon. I can't get out to the store so I have to depend on someone to do my shopping.

My skin is also dry...but since I am allergic to most lotions, I haven't found one yet that doesn't make my eyes water. Any suggestions?

When I first started Tarceva - that first week my face was just covered with zits. It was awful. But now my rash has almost disappeared. I hope that doesn't mean the Tarceva has stopped working. I was given some antibotics which I took for almost a month. It worked immediately on my rash. But they made me really sick, so I had to stop them.
