It's Almost Over!

Hello all! Well, radiation has been a breeze so far. No side effects yet. I have had 9 radiation treatments and I have 9 to go. I am very happy about this, but there are times when I get a little worried about having a recurrence. But, this experience has made me really appreciate the little things in life, to take better care of myself and my family and to never take anything for granted. Life is short for everyone, cancer or not. No one is guaranteed a tomorrow so live life to the fullest! I have had great support from many different people, including some who are Hodgkin's survivors. I hope that this experience will help me to help others in a similar situation.

hello Marcy
You are so right about life being short. But it is also too short to worry about what can go wrong. I finished 8 chemo and 20 radiation treatments in Oct 2004. I know its hard but don't look back. Focus on now and tomorrow. For me it was easy. My son went though a terrible divorce leaving him with full custody of a one year old and a two year old and with no help from his ex. I was all he had and I focused on that to get me by. That was last year. Now we still have the boys and I do get tired but I feel good. To tell the truth sometimes it seems like a lifetime ago I had all those problems. There are times I think of a relapse but I bounce to these boys need me I can't get sick. I truly beieve that your attitude and the good lord will get you through. I know he did me. Good luck Louise
